Since I live in Australia, usually local places are the preferred ones for holiday due to time constraints, but this year I got the opportunity to visit New Zealand during my summer vacation, South Island to be specific.
It’s just 3 hours flight from Australia. Though it was my first visit ever, the amazing hospitality made me feel right at home. I got to meet and hence socialize with a lot of new people, and the experience was great.
The foremost thing I noticed about the place itself was that the scenic beauty is absolutely breathtaking. The way modernization has been assimilated into the ancient maori culture without taking away its natural zest is absolutely incredible. Furthermore, the country has preserved its natural elements and rich culture in a remarkable fashion, that can be seen while visiting the major as well as the trivial tourist destinations in Queenstown and Invercargill itself. In addition to this, where the culture heritage was the highlight, the country also had a lot of modern and up-to-date attractions to offer, such as, the famous A.J.Heckett Bungy and Ferg’s Burger that made on to the New Zealand’s bucket list.
In my opinion, South Island has all the qualities that a person would look for while visiting or move to a place, it has that safe and friendly environment. The place is a perfect blend of cultural heritage, modernization and tranquility, and really looking forward to getting another opportunity to explore it further.
